ROOM FACILITIES AVAILABLE FOR HIRE:

Auditorium:

Our modern theatre style auditorium seats 430 people, and is technically equipped to handle the most demanding production needs. Overflow capacity for up to 120 extra seats is available in an adjoining room, and fully trained technical staff are booked with the hire of this room, to operate all equipment to your particular requirements. Suitable for keynote conferences, seminars, theatre productions and musical concerts, NewHope's Auditorium has hosted events for Carey Baptist Grammar School, World Vision, The Melbourne Welsh Male Choir and The Australian Children's Choir.

Community Events Room:

Our flagship function room, the Community Events Room can be configured as a seminar room for up to 250 people or as a modern dining and event space, seating up to 120 at round tables. Our partner, Middleground Cafe can cater to a variety of budget requirements, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The room is equipped with the latest sound and data-projection technology. Successfully used for film screenings, corporate training events, business dinners and as a modern wedding chapel, the room has a moveable stage which is normally configured along the east wall of the room. This room has hosted events for Apple Users Society of Melbourne, the Liberal Party, Christian Schools Association and Christian Blind Mission.

Upstairs Function Room:

Similar in size to the Community Events Room, the Function Room has a fixed stage along the north wall. Ideal for seminars or presentations, the room can seat up to 200 people and is equipped with some of the latest sound and data-projection technology. Seating up to 80 people for a meal, catering can be provided by our partner, Middleground Cafe, or self catering is available with the use of the room's small kitchenette.

Training Room:

A boardroom style set-up, the training room seats up to 25 people around a large reconfigurable table. The room is equipped with a data-projector, to which you are welcome to connect your laptop, a DVD player, and an electronic whiteboard. A flip-chart is also available. Catering can be supplied to this room through Middleground cafe. This room has hosted training functions for Focus on the Family, Melbourne Prayer Breakfast and Baptist Union of Victoria.

Seminar Room / Parent Lounge:

Roughly 10m x 4.5m, this room has a dual function.
As a Seminar space, at one end of the room you will find tables & chairs for up to 18 people, a built-in data projector for you to connect your laptop to; and capacity for a whiteboard and/or flip chart. Tables may be rearranged to fit your needs, and Middleground café can supply catering as you relax at the lounge end of the room for discussion or a break.
Alternatively the whole area can be set up as a Lounge with seating for up to 30, particularly useful as a parent and child space. An urn for tea & coffee and a microwave for heating milk etc is available in the room.

Main Hall:

This medium sized hall in the older section of our church building can be configured in a variety of ways. Equipped with a moveable stage at the north end of the room, a data projector and sound system, the room can be set with tables to seat up to 70, or chairs in rows for 120. Successful as a seminar room for groups such as Caleb Leadership Training, the room is also hired out for classes such as children's drama or aerobics.

West Hall:

This small hall in the older section of our building is used by drama groups, children's playgroups and craft groups, and can be reconfigured with a PA and data projector for a small seminar.

Lower Hall:

A small, renovated room set apart from the other spaces in the building, this room can be used as a meeting space for up to 20 people. With sink and urn facilities available, you are welcome to self-cater using this room. A portable data projector and whiteboard screen are available.
