At NewHope we are passionate about cheering you on as families. Life is busy and challenging and parenting is far from easy.
Being involved in a warm, caring, nurturing community here at NewHope, give us great resources, support and a built in ‘Cheer squad’!
There are many opportunities to be involved in this support network – kids church, youth, and young families events. Here are a few coming up in 2013…

Key Dates

Sunday February 24 - NewHope Family and friends picnic – BYO picnic and picnic rug. Games and entertainment will be provided for you. ALL WELCOME. Details to come soon!

Wednesday April 17- Passionate Parenting Night - This is a fun, interactive evening where we will discuss parenting your children with a passion and being intentional in building up great kids and a cohesive family. Yummy supper provided. Aimed at parents of children from birth to 12 years. Will need to book a place.


Friday May 10 - Family Film Night - Fun , Film and games! Ideal for families with young children. ALL WELCOME. Details to come!



Hot Tip

Make a point of scheduling some date time with each member of your family on a regular basis. If you are married make it a priority to go on a date regularly, to get out of the house and give each other undivided attention (and maybe even have some fun). If you have children, this is a great way to show you value them.

It may be a simple as a one to one breakfast on Saturday at Maccas or for the teens, maybe a coffee or hot chocolate out at a nice cafe. You may not solve the problems of the world, but you make yourself available and show how much they mean to you. And how about praying for these times before you go out, that they will be rich and that your family member will be blessed.

Family Camp 2013
We are forward planning for our Family Camp for 2013. You can tent or cabin. It will be on October 25th-27th, 2013. (note the warmer climate!!). Start planning this in your diary All welcome. Details out next year.

Prayer For Families

We would like to offer confidential, mutual prayer support to parents with serious concerns for their children's health, spiritual situation, emotional needs, or any other concern.
